September 17, 2013

No. 1029, a 500°F (260°C), three-level rotary hearth oven is used for curing sealant on molded plastic parts. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 36″ wide x 32″ deep x 30″ high. 24 kW is installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements to heat the oven chamber, and a 1000 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blower provides front-to-rear horizontal airflow.

The 30″ diameter, three-level hearth is constructed from perforated steel sheet. It is driven by a 1/4-HP motor through gear reducer with torque limiting device.

Controls include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual rest excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch, and circuit breaker disconnect switch.
