ELECTRICALLY-HEATED INERT ATMOSPHERE OVEN FROM GRIEVE

Grieve No. 964 is an electrically-heated, 1000°F (538°C) inert atmosphere oven currently used for bluing steel.

Workspace dimensions measure 24″ wide x 24″ deep x 36″ high, 18 kW are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular elements to heat unit, while 750 CFM, ¾-HP recirculating blower motor provides horizontal front-to-rear airflow to workload.

Inert atmosphere oven features 8″ thick insulated walls comprised of 2″ of 1900°F block and 6″ of 10 lb/cf density rockwool, aluminized steel exterior, and Type 304 2B stainless steel interior with continuously backwelded seams.

Controls on No. 964 include programming temperature controller, circular chart recorder, SCR power controller, and fused disconnect switch.
