No. 1024 is a Modified Model NB-350 bench oven from Grieve, currently used for curing the plugs on end of long cables. Maximum operating temperature is 350°F (177°C). Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 28” wide x 24” deep x 18” high. 2 KW are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements.
The oven roof is modified to provide seven (7) slots with adjustable covers. Other construction details include 2″ insulated walls, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, and Type 304, #4 brushed stainless steel exterior.
Controls on No. 1024 include a digital indicating temperature controller and a red pilot light to indicate heater operation.
