The ideal candidate will have strong relationship skills combined with technical acumen and entrepreneurial desire.

Essential Duties & Core Responsibilities:

  • Territory coverage is within (but not limited to) Illinois/Iowa/Indiana.
  • Establish new accounts and maintain existing accounts.
  • Identify potential customers and new markets by generating new sales leads and opportunities.
  • Maintain thorough technical understanding of Grieve products and customer applications.
  • Participate in developing sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Plan, organize, and execute sales call schedule.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities with past and new accounts, follow up and generate new sales.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Generate detailed and accurate equipment quotations for customer’s applications.
  • Project management: Key interface between internal team and customer through design/purchase cycles as well as post-sales support.
  • Report daily sales activity through customer relationship management (CRM) software (Salesforce).
  • Analyze industrial heat treatment trends and competition within assigned territory to develop strategies for new sales opportunities.
  • Work with in-house Engineering and Customer Service teams to support sales activities.
  • Win and close orders by overcoming various barriers with proactive communication and sales strategies.
  • Calls, emails and visits with design engineers, buyers or other professional and technical personnel
  • Synthesize and present product and service recommendations to Grieve management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in Salesforce/CRM preferred
  • Willing to Travel 60%
  • Skilled at building Customer relationships
  • Proven track record in achieving profitable sales
  • Ability to comprehend technical requirements for capital equipment
  • Must be motivated and able to work within minimal supervision
  • Technical experienced desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
